On this day, Colonel Dimitar Spisarevski ascends to eternity!

In an unequal aerial battle, the young pilot dies defending Bulgaria.
On December 20, 1943, another wave of Anglo-American bombers enters the airspace of the Kingdom of Bulgaria.

From the Bozhurishte airfield near Sofia, the 3/6 fighter squadron takes off and meets the invaders near the village of Pasarel.

Wounded in the aerial battle, Spisarevski decides to torpedo the lead bomber of the formation.

The last words heard by his comrades on the radio are:
"Son of a bitch, now I will drink your blood."

The hero's body was found near the wreckage of the plane and was buried in the Central Sofia Cemetery.

Respect and eternal memory!
