This year, the Kubratists from BNU and KUBRAT YOUTH gathered once again to review their activities over the past months.
Comrades from different parts of Bulgaria came together in the village of Dolni Maryan. In the previously rented "Lucky" bungalows, we were welcomed by the hosts. The family managing the place was hospitable and had prepared for our arrival.
One by one, the people we were expecting arrived, and the hosts assigned them to the bungalows. These were separate buildings, each with a private room, bathroom, and corridor, providing peace and seclusion for the individual groups.
Once everyone was settled, preparations began for the hall where the working part of the National Assembly would take place. Some of us set up the hall, while others went into the mountains to choose a location for the oath-taking ceremony of our new Kubrat brothers.
In the late afternoon, with the performance of the march "Shumi Maritsa," the working meeting commenced. The activities of BNU and KUBRAT YOUTH were discussed, with a focus on the recent elections, the war in Ukraine, and the organization's upcoming events.
After the discussions, we proceeded to dinner—tender steaks with garnish—followed by the oath-taking ceremony for the new cadets.
Under the light of the purifying fire, the cadets swore their oath of allegiance and were accepted as members of KUBRAT YOUTH and the Bulgarian National Union. The evening ended with good spirits and conversations.
The next morning, breakfast was served promptly at 8:00 AM. The homemade mekitsi were delicious—no need to mention that! A big thank you to our hosts!
After clearing the tables, we continued with the concluding discussions. Around noon, we reluctantly closed the autumn National Assembly.
Until we meet again, brothers and sisters of Kubrat!
