On February 24, 2026, exactly four years after the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine launched by the neo-Bolshevik regime in Moscow, members, supporters, and friends of the Bulgarian National Union and KUBRATOVA MLADEZH gathered in protest in front of the Presidency building in Sofia.
For four years, the Ukrainian people have been fighting for their freedom, identity, and right to exist. For four years, Russian imperial revanchism has sought to break a free nation.
We state clearly and without hesitation:
THIS IS NOT MOSCOW!
Bulgaria is not a territory of Kremlin influence, nor a field for Bolshevik propaganda.
From the very beginning, we stood alongside the Ukrainian nationalists in their struggle for national liberation. Not only with words, but with actions — by organizing fundraising campaigns, collecting donations, and purchasing essential equipment in support of the front.
Today more than ever, it is time for a clear distinction — between freedom and tyranny, between national dignity and servile submission, between Europe and Eurasian totalitarianism.
Bulgaria must stand with the free nations, not serve as a dependent appendage of foreign imperial will. The struggle against the Russian invaders in Ukraine and their servants in Bulgaria continues.
We thank everyone who gathered at Independence Square in Sofia and expressed their support for the people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the commemoration in front of the Presidency marking the fourth anniversary of the start of the full-scale war, public figures and veterans delivered speeches.
Via video link, Ruslan Andreiko from “Karpatska Sich” and Marko M. from the 20th Operational Brigade “Liubart” – AZOV addressed the audience.
Speaking on site were representatives of the Bessarabian Bulgarian community, as well as veterans Ivan “Gligi” Kalchev and V.B., call sign “Fritz.”
We also thank Georgi Georgiev from “BOETS” and Manol Glishev for their powerful statements.
May God grant strength to the Ukrainian defenders!
Glory to them, and honor to us for supporting them!
Photos from the event coming soon.
